Installation using urpmi

This is really convenient and easy way of installation, recommended for beginners.

• The first step is to add an repository containing Kadu.
• The second is to install the program using distribution's tools.

Repository add

Copy and run the command for your distribution version. This is one time operation.

urpmi.addmedia kadu <url> with ./synthesis.hdlist.cz
urpmi.addmedia kadu-contrib <url>/contrib/ with ./synthesis.hdlist.cz

Where url is: Mandriva 2010, 2009.1, 2009.0, 2008.1, 2008.0, 2007.1, 2007.0, 2006, Older releases than 2009 are not supported anymore - for Mandriva 2008.x there is available version 0.6.5.3, for 2007.x - 0.6.0.2 and for 2006 - 0.6.0.1.

Program installation

Install program by the following command:

urpmi kadu
